Kouri-Vini is an endangered language spoken mostly by the older generation within Southwest Louisiana.  Although there is a growing interest in reclaiming the language, spurred by the efforts of language activists, the revitalization movement need more resources for families

Vilaj Bonjwa publishes books and other resources primarily written in Kouri-Vini, which engage children and their parents to learn the language together as a family.  Just as the gourd follows the vine, children are more likely to learn if their parents support, model, and believe in the importance of reclaiming the language in our community.
